Wedding
Vandelli Botanical Garden
Hidden behind ancient walls and the soft murmur of the Tejo River, the Vandelli Botanical Gardens reveal themselves as a quiet secret in the heart of Lisbon — a place where history and nature coexist in perfect equilibrium. For Molly and Tommy, an American bride and a Brazilian groom, this space became the perfect meeting point between worlds — a celebration that subtly honoured his tropical roots while reflecting her love for modern simplicity and refined design. The result was an aesthetic dialogue between vibrancy and calm, structure and spontaneity, nature and form. Our concept focused on translating that duality into a visual language: an elevated tropical narrative that felt organic yet composed. Inside the greenhouse, under softly draped ceilings that filtered the afternoon light, long tables in neutral linen and deep green accents created the framework for sculptural arrangements of exotic blooms, foliage, and fruits. Each piece was designed to feel alive — full of movement, texture, and quiet energy, as if the garden itself had become part of the celebration. Each element was chosen to feel — not just to look — beautiful. From the tactile napkins and curved stationery to the interplay of ceramics, tropical leaves, and soft candlelight, every layer carried intention. The design sought harmony rather than perfection — a conversation between nature’s spontaneity and contemporary design discipline. The palette of deep greens, white, and sand tones evoked both serenity and depth — a reflection of the couple’s contrast and connection, and of the garden’s timeless calm. In the end, this was more than a wedding — it was an immersive design experience, a destination wedding in Lisbon where design met soul, and where every element came together to celebrate love, culture, and intention.
